PEARL

Welcome to the Putnam Emergency and Amateur Repeater League (PEARL) web site. PEARL is a 501 (c) 3 not for profit corporation of licensed amateur radio operators. Most members live in and around Putnam County, New York. In 1979, when PEARL was formed, it had a specific set of goals in mind. These goals remain in effect to this day. They are:

  2. To provide common coverage north and south over Putnam ridges.
  3. To establish constant blanket coverage for commuters.
  4. To establish emergency service: ARES and RACES
  5. To educate and train amateurs and future amateurs.
  6. To establish a technical fraternity to help each other.
  7. To enjoy friendship and life.
  8. To present and promote amateur radio to the community.
  9. To cooperate with like-minded neighboring organizations.
